Search Results for ‘directory website’
It’s been quite a while since my last post and I regret that. I’ve been so busy that I just couldn’t find the time to write here. Also I find that there has not been as many interesting websites for sale as usually. I often first saw the good ones when they where almost already sold.
Enough about that because there’s a decent website for sale at SitePoint. The website is www.butlerwebs.com and has a steady income and lots of traffic. According to seller it makes about $3000 a month where the $2000 is through adsense. Regarding the traffic he states that there is around 15-20,000 unique visitors daily.
The fact that there’s several recent blog posts which links to the website makes me believe that it’s true. Just try and search for the website on technorati and you’ll see them.
It’s an auction and the bidding starts at $26,000, which it definitely must be worth.

There are several interesting websites for sale today, so I’ll just make a short summary of each of them.
The first is for sale at SitePoint:
A t-shirt website called crewddewdsshirts.com. It has a monthly revenue of $500+ made by selling shirts, but also has income from shareasale.com and other sites they are affliated with, along with adsense, bidvertiser, adbrite, etc. The website itself is really clutered with all sorts of stuff like links, banners etc. but it still interesting since it makes money and it gives space for improvement.
The second is for sale at SitePoint:
The website feedbomb.com is a blog / feed directory with 25,000 monthly pageviews from ~3,300 unique visitors. The site makes about $33 dollars a month, but I think this could be improved be placing ads on all pages, and by changing the ad formats. One thing to be aware of is that many bloggers don’t like to have their full feeds published on other sites, so I think it would be a good idea to make the site only show 250-350 charaters of each feed item.
The third is for sale at DigitalPoint:
There isn’t much information in the sales thread - not even the URL - but it is a weight loss related blog that makes decent money ~$3000 a month.
The fourth is for sale at sedo:
The website LoveOGram.com is a simple viral website where people can let other people know that they have a crush on them - anonymously. The website has about 3000 - 4000 daily uniques, and I think it could be monetized much better - even though I don’t know how much the owner is making from it.

PodFly.com is up for sale at SitePoint. The website is a blog about podcasting.
This is a part of the sellers description of the site: “The site empowers its visitors by providing step-by-step podcasting tutorials, insightful articles and interviews, as well as the first global directory of podcasters“.
According to seller there has been in average a $100 monthly revenue. And there is ~30,000 pageviews/month. The website has a pagerank of 5, and has some good backlinks, but technorati only reports 8 sites linking. This is not a problem, but instead shows that they probably haven’t taken full use of the blogosphere.
A buyer should fix the template to show unique titles for each post. The URL / permalinks should also be fixed. I guess that would increase traffic from the search engines. And my last comment for a buyer would be that he should notify other podcasting-bloggers about new articles that he puts up - get some links from the blogosphere.
